Tessie and Bed - Bed and Book

'Out-takes', from a little shoot I did with Tessie at my house. Disco playlist, Mars Bars and all that hair made for lots of fun times.

'Better Than Art' - Flash Night! - FOR ONE EVENING ONLY - 2nd May 2011

Kings ARI Gallery held a 'Flash Night - One Night Only' exhibition last week at their upstairs gallery space on the notorious King St, Melbourne. The night involved flash performances, videos, stills, sculptures, lego tables, fairy bread and beer. What an awesome idea.  See Kings website here http://www.kingsartistrun.com.au/kingsartistrun/

c3 Contemporary Art Space - Isobel Knowles - Abbotsford

As I was wandering around the Abbotsford convent today I ran into the lovely and talented Isobel Knowles who was testing out her camera obscura device. Lucky for me Isobel was the 'artist in residence' today at c3 Gallery. It is such a great idea and one of my favourite spaces. I'm not sure who typed the 'activities' card but I  feel exactly the same way.......Even artists need structure sometimes.

The Convent - Abbotsford

Today was my first concerted effort at trying to photograph landscapes. Turns out with the right music on your ipod and a good lens it can be just as good as shooting people. It rained most of the day and I think it made everything wet and shiny and better. It was kind of the equivalent to oiling up a person before you shoot them.

Good Friday

Good Friday Eve my friend and I went to a party in Fitzroy crowded with 1000 too many people and ended up having a drunken sleepover party at hers. The next morning we woke up panda eyed and hungover and after eating a delicious risotto she whipped up (she is AMAZING), we decided to do an impromptu photo shoot in her backyard using her new kangaroo skin. Hope the neighbors weren't watching..
